The Kanturk Hotel, "...that very unsavoury public-house in South Main Street" owned by Mr. O'Dwyer, and presided over by his daughter Fanny, was in Cork. Matthew Mollett and his son Aby made the hotel their headquarters while engaged in blackmailing Sir Thomas Fitzgerald.
