An old friend of Lord Ongar, to whom he falsely declared that he had been intimate with Lady Ongar. After Lord Ongar's death, he followed Lady Julia to England, declaring that it was her husband's wish that they should marry. He and his sister succeeded in making Lady Ongar's life miserable.
