The second son of the Duke of Omnium, who was entered at Cambridge but sent down when he attended the Derby without permission, to see his brother's horse "Prime Minister" run. In The American Senator, it is reported that "...young Pailiser is to get Slade's berth at Lisbon". This is probably Lord Gerald, and the post noted was in the diplomatic service.
