Brother of Anty, and one of Trollope's best villains. He was educated at Eton along with Lord Ballindine. Scheming to secure his sister's fortune for himself, he plotted to murder her, and when she was befriended by the Kelly family, his hate was concentrated on them. He was finally driven from Ireland, and went to the Continent.
