The  builder of the house at Ballycloran and holder of the mortgage. He attempted to introduce his daughter into the landlordclass by marrying her to Larry Macdermot and, failing in this, became Larry's bitter enemy, intent on his ruin. Does not appear, but is mentioned frequently in The Macdermots of Ballycloran.
