A boarder at Mrs. Tom Mackenzie's house, who spied on Margaret Mackenzie and passed on her information to the Rev. Mr. Maguire as material for his articles, "The Lion and the Lamb," attacking John Ball. She finally married him, after he had lost all hope of marrying Margaret.
